The details

Considered guidance, from the first conversation to the final fit.

01

The value of an archived pattern

Building a bespoke pattern requires time, patience, and meticulous refinement. Once that pattern is finalized, it represents a precise map of your posture and preferences. We hold this paper pattern securely in our archives, creating a permanent foundation for your wardrobe. This allows returning clients to bypass the initial fitting stages entirely, transforming the commissioning process into a highly efficient exercise in selecting the right materials for the upcoming season.

02

How the reorder process works

Initiating a remote reorder is remarkably straightforward and requires minimal time on your part. You need only contact us with a brief description of what you require—perhaps a replenishment of everyday business shirts, a heavier suit for winter travel, or a new linen jacket for a summer holiday. We will retrieve your dedicated file, review the specifications of your previous orders, and guide you through the appropriate cloth collections. Once all stylistic details are settled and confirmed, production begins immediately.

  • Contact the atelier with your specific garment requirements
  • Reference a previously made piece to replicate its fit and style
  • Receive digital cloth recommendations or physical swatches by post
  • Confirm the technical details and stylistic choices in writing
  • Garments are cut, finished, and dispatched via tracked delivery
03

Navigating new cloth selections

Selecting cloth remotely is handled with the same care as an in-person consultation. If you know exactly what you want, you may simply provide a cloth reference from our partner mills, such as Loro Piana, Scabal, or VBC. Alternatively, tell us the purpose of the garment and the climate in which it will be worn, and we will curate a shortlist of suitable fabrics, sending high-resolution images or physical swatches for your approval.

  • Provide specific cloth references from established European mills
  • Request a curated shortlist based on climate and occasion
  • Receive physical swatch sets by post for tactile evaluation
  • Discuss the merits of different weaves and weights with our tailors
04

Updating your measurements

We understand that bodies change over time. If you have experienced a shift in weight or have noticed a change in your preferred fit since your last commission, your archived pattern can be easily adjusted. Before we begin cutting new cloth, we ask that you provide updated measurements for specific areas or send photographs of yourself wearing a recent Gulati garment. We then modify the master pattern to reflect your current physique.

05

Structured wardrobe planning

Many of our established clients prefer to manage their clothing on a structured schedule rather than ordering sporadically. We offer a wardrobe planning service where we hold a strategy on file for you. We can prompt you when it is time to refresh your essential white poplin shirts, or suggest seasonal additions based on the gaps in your current rotation. This proactive approach ensures your wardrobe is always appropriately stocked without requiring your constant attention.

  • Scheduled replenishment of essential everyday shirting
  • Seasonal prompts for summer linens or winter flannels
  • Strategic advice on filling gaps within your current rotation
  • Coordination of fabrics to maximize versatility and wearability
06

Dispatch and continuation

Every reordered garment undergoes the same rigorous quality control as your very first commission. We check the finished piece against your master pattern to guarantee absolute consistency. Once completed, the clothing is carefully pressed, packaged to minimize transit creasing, and sent via secure international courier directly to your residence or office. Tracking information is provided immediately upon dispatch. Our goal is to make the continuation of your bespoke wardrobe as effortless as possible, ensuring you remain impeccably dressed with minimal disruption to your daily schedule, year after year.
